Lilith The Original Woman and the Return of Feminine Power

 

Who is Lilith the First Woman, and what does she have to say to us at this time? What is her gift to you, and to womankind?

To answer these questions, I first need to share more about Lilith as an archetype of the Original Woman, something that is not often shared.

Lilith, as an archetype, is a template for women to use so that we can reconnect with our essential feminine power.

As a part of my teachings, Lilith is much more than the demonic seductress she is often depicted as. She holds a key to our very essential nature as women.

This is knowledge that, in my lineage and teachings, has been hidden for thousands of years and is now ready to be revealed to womankind through the teachings of The Priestess of the Flame Training, based on my lineage as a Keeper of the Flame.

 

What Does Lilith Represent?

Lilith is not only a representation of primordial feminine energy, raw passion, and the independent spirit of a woman. More importantly, she represents the aspect of a woman who knows herself to be a holy and sacred vessel of the creative power of the Universe.

She is the Original First Woman

For me, this is one of the most important aspects of Lilith to understand.

She is not simply a symbol of rebellion, sexuality, or independence. She represents a woman who is deeply connected to herself—to her body, her creative force, her desires, her intuition, and her inherent sovereignty. She reminds us of something we, women have forgotten.

The Power of Our Sexual Nature

The true power of our feminine sexual nature has been corrupted and distorted, causing us to forget our rightful place as the Sexual Initiatress that we are. 

This role is important because the conscious use of our sexual energy can become a gateway to the restoration of Divine Feminine energy.

Our sexual energy, when used with sacred and clear intent, can bring harmony and balance back into our own lives and relationships, as well as into the world.

It is through making women's sexual power something to fear, control, or shame that sex and women's bodies have become profane—a commodity, entertainment, something to be bought and sold—and violence against women has been normalized.

When a woman's body and sexuality are disconnected from their sacred meaning, she can also become disconnected from herself.

But we are living in a time when these old messages are beginning to be questioned. More than at any other time in our history, we have the opportunity to change these messages and create a different relationship with our feminine power.

The time has come for women to take a stand for a new way of being with their sexual power. This begins with reclaiming the understanding that our sexuality is not something separate from our  spirituality, our creativity, or our feminine essence.

It is part of us. And when we learn to relate to it consciously and sacredly, it can become a powerful force for transformation. This is part of what I believe Lilith has come to remind us of.

Reconnecting With the Primal Goddess Within You

You can begin to reconnect with yourself as the Primal Goddess and with the archetype of Lilith in simple but powerful ways:

Call her forth.
Ask Lilith to teach you and show you how you can reconnect with the power of your sexual energy. Sit quietly and listen for what arises within you.

Create an altar.
Create a sacred space that honors this aspect of the Divine Feminine. Meditate daily on what you wish to cultivate within yourself—sovereignty, passion, self-love, creativity, embodied feminine power, or another quality that is calling to you.

Honor your body.
Create a self-loving ritual in which you honor and praise your body and all parts of yourself. This can include consciously honoring your beautiful Yoni or vulva and the creative power that your body holds.

These practices are not about becoming someone else. They are about remembering something that already lives within you.

The Gift of Lilith to Women Today

We must reconnect with our internal Lilith and the teachings she represents—teachings that are so needed at this time for women and girls.

When you begin to reconnect with this aspect of yourself, you can begin to become a more fully integrated, sovereign, and sexually conscious woman.

You begin to understand that feminine power does not have to be given to you by someone else. It is something you can reclaim from within.

And as more women remember this, we have the potential to become anchors of a New Divine Feminine energy, women who are committed to creating a new paradigm for women's sexuality and for the way women understand themselves.

Perhaps this is the deeper gift of Lilith the First Woman Not simply rebellion. Not simply sexuality. But reconnection to our authentic power The awakening of the our Original Feminine Blueprint.

• The woman who knows herself.
• The woman who honors her body.
• The woman who understands the power of her creative and sexual energy.
• The woman who no longer gives her sovereignty away.

And perhaps this is why Lilith is speaking to us now.
